Love Sac Shipping!
Those familiar with shipping know that freight companies charge not only based on weight, but also based on total size. To ship a Love Sac 'bean bag' style chair in its full size (up to 8 feet) would be costly and would be bulky and hard to handle. To eliminate all these problems LoveSac "invented"* and patented a vacuum compression technique allowing for shrinking of the "Sac" to a much smaller size.
Of course practices similar to the one patented by LoveSac are in use across the giant bean bag industry. No one is going to pay full price to have the giant bean bag shipped in its fully expanded state. Below is a sample chart giving a general idea of the shipping sizes versus the expanded sizes of foam filled "sac" style bean bag chairs.

Once your big bean bag arrives and you carefully remove it from the box, taking care not to puncture the inner bag you can throw it into the cover. It will take about 1-2 weeks (depending on what size you order) for the foam to fully expand. The foam expands as it absorbs oxygen, so you can expedite the process by fluffing your sac chair periodically. This will also ensure that all the large chunks of foam are completely broken apart. *The word invented has an asterisk because the idea to suck the air out of things to save space was around long before the 2005 patent of LoveSac. The idea of patenting this is also a little far fetched, since there is no effective and actionable way to really enforce this patent to prevent other people from using similar but non-infringing means to achieve basically the same effect.
