Flowrider Boarding on Man-Made Waves

This video was shot in Hawaii and shows a kid doing pretty awesome tricks while riding his board on the flowrider. This board sport is a new man-made invention. The artificial wave is a pretty powerful piece of equipment and allows for new possibilities!

Like skateboarding, this sport is a descendant of surfing. So maybe that makes flowride boarding a cousin to the sport of skateboarding.

Flowride boarding seems to also have much in common with wake boarding! Their are of course more limitation to this sport, since the man-made wave is a much more limited realm of possibilities when compared with the greatly expanded possibilites of surfing on natural waves or wake boarding on a lake. Also, snowboarding offers many more possibilities of terrain and obstacles. Skateboarding definately has the most possibilities when it comes to tricks, variations, and locations to skate. Perhaps that uniqueness is due in part to the fact that unlike all the others skateboarding is a dry land board sport.
